Program Description: This science-based, virtual program was designed to support parents of children with autism or other complex behavioral needs who feel stressed and overwhelmed by daily challenges and neglect their own health and wellbeing. This program provides a supportive community that empowers parents with tools and strategies to build resilience, change negative thought patterns and habits, and manage their daily stress.

10 Rules for Raising Kids in a High-Tech World

A 3-session book club reading 10 Rules for Raising Kids in a High-Tech World: How Parents Can Stop Smartphones, Social Media, and Gaming from Taking Over Their Children's Lives. Technology has changed drastically over the years, and it can be hard to keep up with best practices around technological use. Parents, teachers, and coaches are often torn between concerns around the impacts of technology on their kids’ wellbeing and recognizing that technology is inevitably a giant part of their futures. If you’re looking for research-based guidance on questions such as, and This book will give you the information and confidence you need to navigate this new age of technology with your kids. By joining us for book club, you will gain access to valuable and validating discussions from parents and adults just like you, as well as a chance to problem solve and game plan how implementing these strategies could look in your individual life with your family. This program helps parents learn how to support their young child with autism (4-8 yrs.) to:

participate in more extended back and forth conversations

understand nonverbal communication (i.e., facial expressions, gestures, body language) or what people say without words in a conversation

understand another person's perspective (i.e., how others feel, what they might be thinking, might do or say, etc.)

expand play ideas and strengthen their friendships skills

An 8-week coping skills groups for tweens & teens struggling with challenging emotions. Participants will learn the science behind emotions and how to cope using emotion regulation tools. We help your teen become an expert of their own emotional experience and take back control of their feelings.

Ages: 6-8 years

A 5-week, hands-on coping skills group for young children struggling with worry or anxiety. In this group, child and parent will learn to better understand anxiety and will work together to create coping tools that they can take home and use. Each week, your child will learn a new strategy for navigating their worries and calming their body, while creating a fun take-home reminder of the tool. This group is great for children who enjoy hands-on activities, love to create, and might find talking about their feelings challenging. Parents will gain valuable insight into their child’s experience and will learn some go-to strategies for easing feelings of worry.
